About the Everpure QL3B Single Head
The Everpure QL3B Single Head is the part that holds an Everpure cartridge and connects it to the water line. Everpure designed it exclusively for its own replacement cartridges, for foodservice, vending and office coffee service.
It has a built-in water shut-off valve, so a cartridge can be changed without isolating the line elsewhere. The sheet lists a mounting bracket and screws with the head. How the Everpure QL3B Single Head works
The head sits on a flat surface or bracket with the cartridge hanging down from it. Water comes in through the head, passes through the cartridge, and leaves through the head to the equipment. The head itself does not filter. What the system does depends on the cartridge you fit.
The built-in shut-off valve stops the water at the head for cartridge changes. Everpure says all wetted parts have passed NSF extraction tests, and that the hardware is corrosion resistant.
Everpure says the head is engineered for durability, strength and longevity. Its warranty is one year after purchase for the head and for replaceable cartridges, on the terms in Everpure's printed warranty.
Which one should you choose?
The QL3B is a head. A system needs a cartridge, and sometimes more than one stage. We choose them together at survey.
QL3B Single Head
You need one Everpure head with a built-in shut-off valve for foodservice, vending or coffee.
Everpure 4FC cartridge
You want a cartridge for drinks systems to go in the head: 0.2 micron, 15,000 gallons.
Everpure Claris cartridges
You run coffee, espresso or steam equipment and want to tailor carbonate hardness. Claris uses its own head.
Installation and servicing
Everpure's installation tips: the head mounts directly onto a flat surface. Install it vertically so the cartridge hangs down. Allow 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) of clearance below the cartridge for an easy change. Flush the filter by running water through it, following the cartridge's instructions.
The head is small: 3 inches high, 3.75 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep (7.6 × 9.5 × 8.9 cm), and it needs no electrical connection. The sheet does not list the thread sizes, so we confirm the connections for your pipework at survey.
Everpure's operation tips: change cartridges on a regular six-month preventative maintenance programme, or when capacity is reached or pressure decreases. Always flush the cartridge at installation and at every change. We set the schedule at survey and change the cartridges under a maintenance plan. The survey is chargeable and is credited back if you go ahead.
