Regent · Sovereign range

Filtration that protects everything downstream.

The Regent range removes sediment, chlorine taste and odour before water reaches your taps, boilers and equipment. It runs from cartridge housings for homes and cafes to self-cleaning backwash filters for plant rooms, all sized to your site and installed by our team in the UK.

The range

Cartridge, backwash and round-the-clock.

Choose by the size of the site and how the filter is cleaned. We confirm the model and media once we know your supply and peak flow.

Cartridge

Homes & small commercial

Regent Big Grey housings

Whole-site housings that take standard 4.5 inch cartridges, so the filter inside is matched to your water: sediment, carbon and more.

  • Up to 5.0 m3/h
  • 4.5 × 10" and 4.5 × 20" cartridges
  • 1" connections
  • Cartridge change typically every 6 to 12 months

Backwash

Commercial & industrial

Regent Sediment 3072 and Carbon 3072

Single 30 × 72 inch vessels on a metered CE 1.5 inch valve. The bed cleans itself by backwash, so there are no cartridges to change.

  • 11.8 m3/h service flow
  • 697 L pressure vessel
  • Backwash by metered volume, not a clock
  • Sediment, carbon or Birm media

Round-the-clock sites

Regent Twin 3072

Two vessels in alternation. One filters while the other backwashes or waits, so filtered water never stops.

  • 11.8 m3/h continuous, 24 hours a day
  • No hydraulic shock on changeover
  • Five media options on one platform
  • 2 to 6 units on one Clack controller

How filtration works

Three ways to clean the water.

Regent filters hold back what you can see and taste. Which method suits you depends on your flow and how much upkeep you want.

Cartridge

Cartridge filtration

Big Grey housings

Water passes through a replaceable cartridge chosen for your supply. When it is spent, the cartridge is swapped.

What it tackles
  • Sediment and particles
  • Chlorine taste and odour (carbon cartridge)
  • Discoloured water

Why it matters: A simple, low-cost way to protect a home or small site.

Depth media

Sediment backwash

Regent Sediment 3072

A deep bed of Filter-AG traps particles through its full depth. A metered backwash lifts the bed and flushes the load to drain.

What it tackles
  • Silt and turbidity
  • Suspended solids
  • Iron and manganese (with Birm media)

Why it matters: It protects membranes, resin beds and pump seals downstream.

Activated carbon

Carbon backwash

Regent Carbon 3072

A carbon bed adsorbs chlorine and organics as water flows through. Backwash re-classifies the bed to stop channelling.

What it tackles
  • Chlorine and chloramine
  • Taste and odour
  • Dissolved organics

Why it matters: Chlorine damages RO membranes and softener resin, so carbon comes first.

Filters do not soften water or disinfect it. For hardness, pair with a Regal softener. For bacteria and viruses, add SovSafe UV after the filter.

Why filter

What changes with clean water in.

Protects equipment

Less wear on everything downstream
  • Fewer blocked valves and nozzles
  • Longer life for RO membranes
  • Protects softener resin
  • Protects pumps and boilers

Better water

Noticeable at the tap
  • Clearer water
  • Less chlorine taste and smell
  • Better-tasting drinks and coffee
  • Cleaner ice

Low upkeep

Built to run
  • Self-cleaning backwash on the 3072 models
  • Metered by volume, not a clock
  • Proven Clack control valves
  • Serviced by our own engineers

Why Regent

One range, sized to your site.

Regent filters share proven control valves and standard media, so a cafe and a hospital plant room get the same engineering at a different scale.

  • Media matched to your supply, not a guess
  • The first stage for Regal softening and RO
  • Twin models keep water flowing 24/7
  • Pair with a maintenance plan from a fixed annual fee
Your questions answered

Water filters, straight answers.

Q1What is the difference between a sediment and a carbon filter?
A sediment filter holds back particles such as silt, sand and rust. A carbon filter adsorbs chlorine, taste, odour and dissolved organics. Many sites use both, sediment first and carbon second.
Q2Cartridge or backwash: which do I need?
Cartridge housings suit homes and small sites up to 5.0 m3/h and need a new cartridge from time to time. Backwash filters suit higher flows. They clean themselves by reversing flow to drain, so there are no cartridges to change.
Q3How often do cartridges need changing?
Typically every 6 to 12 months, depending on your water and how much you use. We set the interval when we size the system and can handle the changes on a maintenance plan.
Q4Does a Regent filter soften water?
No. Filters remove particles, chlorine taste and odour. They do not remove the calcium and magnesium that cause scale. For that you need a softener, such as the Regal range.
Q5Does a filter remove bacteria?
No. Filtration is not disinfection. Where that matters, we add a SovSafe UV steriliser after the filter. UV needs filtered water to work well, so the two go together.
Q6Do you install and service it?
Yes. Our engineers install every Regent system and can look after it on a maintenance plan across the UK.

Not sure which Regent fits?

Tell us about your site and we'll recommend the right filter and media, then install and service it across the UK.
