Ice machine filtration · EverpureEverpure Insurice Single-i2000² System
The Everpure Insurice Single-i2000² is a one-cartridge filter system for ice machines. It filters down to 0.2 micron, reduces chlorine taste and odour, and is rated for 9,000 US gallons (34,069 litres) at up to 1.67 gallons a minute.

About the Everpure Insurice Single-i2000² System
The Everpure Insurice Single-i2000² is the smallest Insurice system. One cartridge, one head, one ice machine. Everpure rates it for most cubers up to 750 lb (340 kg) a day and most flakers up to 1,500 lb (680 kg) a day, with a rated capacity of 9,000 US gallons (34,069 litres) at up to 1.67 gallons a minute.
Ice is made from the water you feed the machine, so dirt, chlorine taste and scale all end up in the ice and in the machine. The Single-i2000² filters that water before it reaches the machine. We supply, fit and service it. For the other Insurice systems, see the Twin-i2000², the Twin PF-i2000² and the Triple-i4000², or browse the Everpure range.

Typical applications
Who the Everpure Insurice Single-i2000² is for
- Cafés, bars and restaurants with one small or medium ice machine.
- Sites with a cuber up to 750 lb (340 kg) a day or a flaker up to 1,500 lb (680 kg) a day, as rated on Everpure's sheet.
- Kitchens that want cleaner, better tasting ice with less chlorine taste in drinks.
- Operators who want to protect the evaporator plate, pump and water lines from scale and clogging.
- Sites that want the cartridge changed to a schedule, so the ice machine is never run on a spent filter.
How the Everpure Insurice Single-i2000² System works
Water enters the cartridge and passes through Everpure's Micro-Pure II media. The media reduces chlorine taste and odour, and Everpure says it inhibits the growth of bacteria on the media itself. Its precoat filtration micro-filters dirt and particles as small as 0.2 micron by mechanical means. Everpure says an ISO 17025 accredited lab validated a 99.999% reduction of Pseudomonas diminuta, following the ASTM F838-05 protocol for 0.2 micron sterilising-grade filters.
The system also has a self-contained scale inhibitor feed. Everpure says this keeps ice machines functioning at full capacity, and that the system reduces scale and clogging in distribution lines, the evaporator plate and the pump. Its cartridge sheet marks the scale claims as tested by Pentair.
The system is certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53. Standard 53 covers cyst reduction (Cryptosporidium and Giardia) by mechanical means. Everpure notes that cyst-certified systems may be used on disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts, and that the system must not be used on water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after it.
Which one should you choose?
Insurice systems come in different sizes. The right one depends on the ice machine's output and how much water it draws. We size it at survey.
Single-i2000²
You have one ice machine with a cuber up to 750 lb (340 kg) a day or a flaker up to 1,500 lb (680 kg) a day.
Twin-i2000²
You have a bigger or busier machine: Everpure rates the Twin for cubers up to 1,450 lb a day and flakers up to 2,200 lb a day.
Twin PF-i2000²
You want the Twin's ratings plus a 20 inch prefilter for dirtier incoming water, and chloramine reduction.
Triple-i4000²
You run higher volume, higher flow ice machines and need up to 5 gpm and a 36,000 gallon capacity.
Installation and servicing
Everpure's installation tips: choose a mounting location that supports the full weight of the system when it is operating. Never use a saddle valve for the connection. Use a 3/8 inch water line. Do not connect the system to a water-cooled condenser. Install it vertically with the cartridge hanging down, with 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) of clearance below it so the cartridge is easy to change. Flush the cartridge by running water through the system for five minutes at full flow.
The system is 26.69 inches high, 8.04 inches wide and 5.25 inches deep (67.8 × 20.4 × 13.3 cm) and weighs 9 lb (4.1 kg) in operation. It needs no electrical connection. The sheet gives inlet and outlet sizes as 3/8 inch, so we confirm the fittings needed for your pipework at survey.
Everpure's operation tips: change the cartridge on a regular six-month preventative maintenance programme, or when capacity is reached or pressure falls below 10 psi (0.7 bar). Its cartridge sheet recommends changing it at least once a year. Do not let the service flow exceed 1.67 gpm. We set the schedule at survey and change the cartridges under a maintenance plan. The survey is chargeable and is credited back if you go ahead.

Everpure Insurice Single-i2000² System questions answered
What is the Everpure Insurice Single-i2000²?
A one-cartridge water filter system for ice machines. It filters the water going into the machine to reduce chlorine taste and odour, dirt, and scale-related problems.
What ice machines is it rated for?

Supplied, installed and serviced across the UK
Across most of southern and eastern England, mains water is very hard. Rain filtering through chalk and limestone dissolves calcium and magnesium, and that scale coats heating elements, so we size every system to your supply and your equipment.
