Everpure Insurice Twin PF-i2000² System

The Everpure Insurice Twin PF-i2000² adds a 20 inch EC210 prefilter to the Twin system. It has the same ice machine ratings and capacity, and Everpure says it reduces particulates, chloramines and chlorine taste and odour.

Overview

About the Everpure Insurice Twin PF-i2000² System

The Everpure Insurice Twin PF-i2000² is the Twin system with a 20 inch EC210 prefilter in front of the two i2000² cartridges. The ice machine ratings and capacity are the same as the Twin: cubers at 1,450 lb (658 kg) a day, flakers at 2,200 lb (998 kg) a day, and 18,000 US gallons (68,137 litres) at up to 3.34 gallons a minute.

The prefilter takes out dirt and particles first. Everpure says the system also reduces chloramines and chlorine taste and odours. If your incoming water is clean, the plain Twin-i2000² may be enough. We supply, fit and service both. See the wider Everpure range.

Features

What it does.

  • 20 inch EC210 prefilter in front of two i2000² cartridges
  • Reduces particulates, chloramines, and chlorine taste and odours that can affect the taste of beverages
  • Micro-filters dirt and particles as small as 0.2 micron by mechanical means
  • Micro-Pure II media inhibits the growth of bacteria on the filter media
  • Reduces ice machine problems from scale build-up, as tested by Pentair
  • Certified to NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53, including cyst reduction

Who it's for

Who the Everpure Insurice Twin PF-i2000² is for

  • Sites where the incoming water carries dirt or particles that would load up the main cartridges.
  • Operators who want chloramine reduction as well as chlorine taste and odour reduction.
  • Hotels, bars and restaurants with ice machines at 1,450 lb (658 kg) a day for cubers or 2,200 lb (998 kg) a day for flakers.
  • Sites that want the prefilter to take the dirt so the i2000² cartridges last as intended.
  • Operators who prefer a gauge on each stage, so loading can be seen before ice quality drops.
How it works

How the Everpure Insurice Twin PF-i2000² System works

01

Water passes first through the 20 inch EC210 prefilter, which reduces dirt and particles. It then flows through two i2000² cartridges. Their Micro-Pure II media reduces chlorine taste and odour, and Everpure says it inhibits the growth of bacteria on the media. The precoat filtration micro-filters particles as small as 0.2 micron by mechanical means, validated by an ISO 17025 accredited lab at 99.999% reduction of Pseudomonas diminuta, following ASTM F838-05.

02

Everpure says the system reduces particulates, chloramines, and chlorine taste and odours that can affect the taste of beverages. It also says it reduces ice machine problems caused by scale build-up, marked on the sheet as tested by Pentair.

03

NSF International certifies the system to NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53, including cyst reduction (Cryptosporidium and Giardia) by mechanical means. Everpure notes the system must not be used on water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after it.

Compare

Which one should you choose?

The prefilter is the difference between the two Twin systems. We choose from how the incoming water behaves and from the machine's output at survey.

Twin PF-i2000²

You want a 20 inch prefilter for dirt and particles, and chloramine reduction, on a machine of up to 1,450 lb a day (cubes) or 2,200 lb a day (flakes).

Twin-i2000²

You have the same size of machine and clean incoming water, and do not need a prefilter.

Single-i2000²

You have one smaller machine: cubers up to 750 lb a day, flakers up to 1,500 lb a day.

Triple-i4000²

You need up to 5 gpm and 36,000 gallons of capacity.

Installation

Installation and servicing

Everpure's installation tips: choose a mounting location that supports the full weight of the system when it is operating. Never use a saddle valve. Use a 3/4 inch water line. Do not connect the system to a water-cooled condenser. Install it vertically with the cartridges hanging down and 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) of clearance below them. Flush the cartridges by running water through the system for five minutes at full flow.

The system is 25.59 inches high and 21.5 inches wide (64.9 × 54.6 cm), and weighs 29 lb (13.1 kg) in operation. Inlet and outlet are 3/4 inch FNPT. Those are NPT thread sizes, so we confirm the fittings and the depth needed for your space at survey. No electrical connection is needed.

Everpure's operation tips: change the i2000² cartridges on a regular six-month preventative maintenance programme, or when capacity is reached or pressure falls below 10 psi (0.7 bar). Inspect the EC210 prefilter periodically, and replace it when dirt has penetrated through to its inner core. We set the schedule at survey and change the cartridges under a maintenance plan. The survey is chargeable and is credited back if you go ahead.

What does the prefilter do?

Everpure says the 20 inch prefilter reduces dirt and particles before the water reaches the i2000² cartridges.

Does it reduce chloramines?

Everpure's sheet says the system reduces particulates, chloramines, and chlorine taste and odours that can affect the taste of beverages.

What ice machines is it rated for?

Cubers at 1,450 lb (658 kg) a day and flakers at 2,200 lb (998 kg) a day, the same as the Twin.

What is its capacity and flow?

18,000 US gallons (68,137 litres) of rated capacity, at up to 3.34 gallons a minute (12.6 litres a minute).

How do I know when to change the prefilter?

Everpure says to inspect the EC210 periodically and replace it when dirt has penetrated through to the inner core.

How often should the i2000² cartridges be changed?

Everpure sets a six-month preventative maintenance programme, and says to change them when capacity is reached or pressure falls below 10 psi.

Is it certified?

Yes. NSF International certifies it to NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53, including cyst reduction and nominal particulate class I.

What are the part numbers?

EV9324-22 is the system, EV9612-22 is the i2000² cartridge and EV9534-26 is the EC210 prefilter.

In the UK

Supplied, installed and serviced across the UK

Across most of southern and eastern England, mains water is very hard. Rain filtering through chalk and limestone dissolves calcium and magnesium, and that scale coats heating elements, so we size every system to your supply and your equipment.

Tell us about your site and what you need the water for. We specify the system, fit it and keep it running under Comprehensive Maintenance.
